East Valley / West Rathdrum Prairie Transportation Model

Kootenai Metropolitan Planning Organization (KMPO) and Spokane Regional Transportation Council (SRTC) are developing a regional transportation model covering the eastern portion of the Spokane Valley and western Rathdrum Prairie, from Sullivan Road in Spokane Valley to Highway 41 in Post Falls and S.R. 290 (Trent Avenue) to the ridge along Mica Peak.  The model area includes the urban areas of the City of Liberty Lake, the eastern portion of the City of Spokane Valley, and Post Falls, Idaho. The model will be provided to local agencies with transportation project proposals in the interstate corridor, and may be used to:

  • evaluate existing and future conditions,
  • identify potential improvements,
  • examine alternate routes and modes of transportation,
  • and ultimately provide recommendations for reasonable improvements.
